Marib: Ex.U.IDPs is discussing with NRC permanent solutions and sustainable projects for IDPs

 

Today, the Director General of Ex.U.IDPs in Marib Governorate, Saif Muthanna, discussed with
Director of NRC Office in Marib Ms. Hana Tefera، the permanent solutions and sustainable projects for IDPs living in rented homes with the aim of developing effective strategies to provide safe and sustainable shelter for IDPs and improve their living conditions.

During the meeting held in the office of Ex.U.IDPs , Saif Muthanna stressed that IDPs suffer from high rents in the rented houses, as governments face many challenges in providing permanent solutions for these IDPs.

In this context, Director General Saif Muthanna mentioned that Ex.U.IDPs seeks to cooperate with international partners to develop sustainable strategies and projects in the field of shelter that improve the daily life of IDPs and provide opportunities for their settlement.

In it’s turn ,NRC reviewed proposals to find solutions for lands and rents in the homes in which IDPs live. This effort aims to ensure the availability of more permanent shelter for IDPs, which contributes to improving their living conditions and addressing the issues of poverty and housing instability that IDPs face, it is the most displaced governorate at the level of the Republic of yemen. .

Saif Muthanna stressed the importance of strengthening cooperation between Ex.U.IDPs and NRC in the field of developing and implementing social housing projects and providing the necessary financial and technical support to achieve a safe life for IDPs.

Director General Saif Muthanna directed to overcome all difficulties and provide facilities to NRC and other organizations to achieve rapid response and implement sustainable solutions and projects, which aim to improve the lives IDPs and provide a stable, sustainable and safe environment in light of the fluctuations of the desert weather in the governorate. He thanked the great role performed by shelter cluster led by NRC, which It significantly improved shelter in Ma’rib Governorate, calling for more interventions in this very important field.

The meeting was attended by assistant Director General of Ex.U.IDPs, Dr. Khaled Al-Shajni, Coordinator of the Sub-Cluster for Shelter, Rua Ghanem, and Field Coordinator of the Office, Eng. Nasser Dibwan
and the security and field coordinator NRC, Issa Al-Asbahi.
